Fellowships of Zion Methodist Church
The Fellowships of Zion Methodist Church are the lifeblood of our congregational life. Each group nurtures faith, builds community, and equips members to serve God joyfully. Through worship, study, fellowship, and outreach, these Fellowships help every believer grow and participate in the mission of Christ. Together, they form a vibrant network of ministries that strengthen the spiritual health and witness of our church.
Methodist Senior Fellowship (MSF)
Vision
To nurture a joyful, faith-filled community of senior members who continue to grow spiritually, share their wisdom, and live as witnesses of God’s grace in their later years.
Mission
To provide seniors with opportunities for fellowship, prayer, learning, and service; to honour their life experiences; and to encourage them to use their gifts for the strengthening of the church and the encouragement of younger generations.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm and engaging space for seniors to gather, pray, and share life together.
• Encourage spiritual growth through Bible study, devotionals, and faith conversations.
• Provide pastoral care, emotional support, and companionship to senior members.
• Organise activities, retreats, and health-awareness sessions suited for seniors.
• Participate in outreach, mission support, and intergenerational ministries.
• Preserve and share the heritage, testimonies, and wisdom of the church’s elders.
• Support church events through prayer, volunteer service, and mentoring younger members.
Methodist Men’s Fellowship (MMF)
Vision
To build a community of Christ-centred men who lead with integrity, serve with humility, and strengthen their families, church, and society.
Mission
To nurture spiritual growth among men through prayer, study, fellowship, and service, empowering them to be faithful disciples and responsible leaders in every sphere of life.
Responsibilities
- Encourage the spiritual growth and discipleship of men.
- Support the pastor and church leadership in ministry needs.
- Organise prayer meetings, Bible studies, and fellowship gatherings.
- Lead and assist in church programmes, outreach, and mission activities.
- Promote responsible Christian stewardship within homes and the church.
- Offer mentorship and support to younger men and youth.
Women’s Society of Christian Service (WSCS)
Vision
To be a fellowship of women rooted in faith, compassion, and service, shining the love of Christ in the church and community.
Mission
To nurture women in spiritual maturity, equip them for meaningful service, and encourage supportive Christian sisterhood through prayer, study, and outreach.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate prayer gatherings, Bible studies, and faith-based discussions for women.
- Encourage women’s involvement in church ministries and events.
- Support mission projects, charitable initiatives, and community service.
- Promote spiritual growth, emotional support, and mutual encouragement.
- Organise programmes that strengthen families and uplift communities.
- Assist in worship services and special church events when needed.
Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF)
Vision
To raise a generation of spiritually grounded, purpose-driven youth committed to living out the Gospel in everyday life.
Mission
To help young people grow in faith, develop leadership skills, and discover their God-given purpose through worship, study, fellowship, creativity, and service.
Responsibilities
- Create spaces for youth fellowship, worship, Bible study, and open discussions.
- Encourage youth involvement in church leadership and ministry roles.
- Organise outreach, social action, and mission-oriented activities.
- Mentor and support teenagers and young adults in life’s challenges.
- Provide opportunities for personal growth, talent development, and creative expression.
- Lead youth-focused segments of worship and special programmes.
Sunday School
Vision
To build a strong biblical foundation for children, helping them grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.
Mission
To teach God’s Word in joyful, age-appropriate ways that shape children’s character, faith, and values, preparing them to live as young disciples.
Responsibilities
- Teach Scripture through lessons, songs, activities, and storytelling.
- Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
- Guide children in prayer, worship, and Christian values.
- Coordinate special presentations such as Christmas programmes and Children’s Sunday.
- Maintain attendance and class records with care.
- Support parents in their role as primary spiritual caregivers.
Choir / Music Ministry
Vision
To glorify God and enrich the worship life of the church through spirit-filled, excellent, and heartfelt music.
Mission
To lead the congregation in worship, prepare meaningful musical offerings, and inspire believers to experience God’s presence through music.
Responsibilities
- Lead congregational singing during Sunday worship services.
- Prepare anthems, special songs, and seasonal presentations (Christmas, Easter, etc.).
- Participate faithfully in rehearsals and prayer before ministry.
- Uphold musical excellence while maintaining spiritual devotion.
- Encourage new members with musical gifts to join the ministry.
- Support the pastorate’s worship planning and special services.
